Pine Island Events for 2010

February 20:  "Sounds like  Pine Island" at the Pine Island Elk at Pine Island Center, noon - 5 pm, a variety of bands will play.

February 20:  Lecture about the Archaelogy of ancient Peru, 2 pm at the Randall Research Center in Pineland, $5.00 donation is requested.d

February 27: Annual Mullet Toss at Matlacha Community Park.

February 27: Pine Island Garden Club has it's a nnual Garden Gala at Phillips Park in Pine Island Center.

March 7:  Rubber Duck Raises at Woody's Waterside in St. James City, annual benefit for the Calusa Land Trust, noon - 5 pm.                                     

March 13:  "Breast Fest" annual 5K run at St. James Civic Association.

March 13:  Calusa Heritage Day celebrating the ancient Calusa tribes that inhabited Bokeelia, at Randell Research Center in Pineland.

March 20:  Classic Boat Show at Monroe Canal Marina in St. James City, to benefit the Pine Island Beacon of Hope.

Also, the second weekend of every month, Pine Island's art galleries, especially in  Matlacha, sponsor "Creative Coast" weekends.

July 10 and July 11:  Mango Mania, Annual Mango Festival.
