Real Estate Sales on Pine Island, Florida during the first quarter of 2012 were the best in six years.  For the first time since 2006, quarterly sales exceeded $20,000,000.   One hundred eighteen properties changes hands, with a total dollar volume of $20,115,749.

The number of sales was up 28% compared to 2011, and the dollar volume of sales was up 69%!

The following properties sold in the communities of Bokeelia, St. James City, and Matlacha on Pine Island, Florida:

35 Single Family Water Front Homes Sold, median price $275,100.

 27 Off water Single Family Homes sold, median price $118,000.

4  Condominiums sold, median price $189,950.

20 Manufactured Homes sold, median price $127,500.

2 Multi-family Homes sold, average price $90,500.

3 Water Front Lots sold, median price $110,000.

17 Off Water home sites sold, median price $10,000.

2 Commercial Properties sold, average price $82,500.

The most  sales, 55 were in Saint James City, Florida.Next was Bokeelia, with 51 real estate sales.  Matlacha, being our smallest community, had the fewest sales, with 12 sales.
