In early July, the Nooa (www.noaa.gov) posted a map on their website, showing the projected trajectories of the Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill.  According to this trajectory, there is predicted to be less than a 1% chance of oil coming onto the shores of Southwest, Florida, including Pine Island.  This map is shown below.  The gray area shows the coast of Southwest, Florida. As of July, 2010, there is no oil in the vicinity of the waters of Pine Island, Florida.
